CSSA Wage Base Increases in 2010

The wage base to calculate child support under CSSA (Child Support Standards Act) will increase from $80,000 to $130,000 of parental income in 2010. This figure has remained unchanged since its creation in 1989. Under the new guidelines, the first $130,000 of parental income will be used to calculate child support with income above $130,000 remaining at the discretion of the judge or hearing examiner.
